Michele Jennings is The Fever’s lead female vocalist, bandleader and manager,
has a decade of professional experience singing and playing percussion at
festivals, weddings, corporate events & clubs. Michele sang harmonies and played percussion with Nigerian performance artist Bola Abimbola and Wazobia for two years, and with whom she performed at the 2007 Telluride Jazz Festival's opening act on the main stage. With Bola, Michele helped to arrange vocals for the band, and designed and organized community singing workshops.

Over the past 10 years, Michele has continued to play the role of community leader
as vocal coach, teacher, choir director, vocal empowerment coach and community event coordinator.

Michele is The Fever’s event coordinator, MC and manager. She has also headed and organized numerous community events, fundraisers, parties, showcases and music productions. She offers highly personalized and detailed planning assistance to clients in the days and months leading up to the event, and works closely with all involved to ensure that every event is successful from the moment of booking to the very last dance.

As a voice teacher & community music leader, Michele has been teaching voice for almost 10 years and loves encouraging her students to express themselves authentically through blues, R&B, jazz, funk, Motown, soul, folk, pop, and rock 'n roll. She teaches individual lessons and Vocal Performance classes for both adults and youth.

Michele has a unique ability to identify and bring out the latent talents of new and inexperienced singers and gives them the confidence they need to express themselves in a style that is supportive as well as challenging. She is keenly aware there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach and tailors her teaching methods to the needs of each student. Michele brings a caring and professional attitude to her leadership that fosters an assurance from which her students immediately benefit.

She has created and led Vocal Empowerment workshops for business leaders through the Boulder Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, and directed the singing program for children's Boulder Conservatory Summer Camp. Michele also enjoys mentoring teenage students in solo or group vocal technique and harmonies.

As Director of Boulder's Ecstatic Choir, Michele has enjoyed encouraging adults of all levels to sing and laugh together for many years.

Michele records portions of her lessons in mp3 or audio CD format for the students to use at home.
